I'm a runner, but I’m not injured. Should I still go to physical therapy?

Yes! Physical therapy isn’t just there to help you recover from an injury but also to prevent one in the future. Runners are especially susceptible to short- and long-term joint and muscle damage, and the preventative maintenance of a hands-on PT session can help you stay injury-free as you train for your next race. 

Should I go to physical therapy for runner’s knee?

While runner’s knee often goes away after 2-3 weeks of rest and icing, we recommend going to a physical therapist, like one at MOTIVNY, who specializes in running to guide you through treatment that will strengthen your joints to help you recover fully and prevent a relapse of the injury.
