Why Traditional PT Isn't Solving Your Hip Pain
If you're stuck in the rehab cycle, you already know: generic treatments don't work for athletes.

"Jess is amazing. I had a hip arthroscopy and went through two different PTs without seeing any real progress in my recovery. Luckily, a friend recommended Jess at Motiv, and that's when things finally started to improve. She's incredibly knowledgeable and tailors the program to your specific needs."

I have been working with James for 3 months. James has completely changed the way I think of strength and mobility. I went from being told I needed major hip surgery and taking an 8-month running hiatus… to working with James and running several times per week, including long runs. It has been such a positive experience.
After moving to the city, I was fortunate to be referred to MOTIVNY by my run coach. My PT, Tyler Nightingale, has been absolutely exceptional. What sets Tyler apart is his thoughtful approach to treatment. His expertise is evident in how quickly he identified the root cause of my issues.
Team is the absolute tops. I made an appointment with Jessica one of their ace PT's on the recommendation of a friend. Jessica was great. Got me on a program that had me pain free and running again quickly. I decided to also get a run analysis done while I was there and it was one of the most meaningful investments I could have made.

Hip Pain Physical Therapy FAQ
1. How long are your hip pain physical therapy sessions?
Our physical therapy sessions are 60 minutes of one-on-one treatment with your Doctor of Physical Therapy—double the industry standard of 30 minutes. This gives us time for hands-on manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and individualized programming without feeling rushed.
2. What should I expect during my first hip pain PT appointment?
Your initial visit includes a comprehensive assessment where we evaluate your injury history, movement patterns, training goals, and lifestyle demands. We'll identify the root cause of your hip pain and create an individualized treatment plan. You'll start hands-on treatment in that first session and receive a digital homework plan delivered to your phone.
3. How is MOTIVNY different from traditional physical therapy for hip pain?
We reject the cookie-cutter approach. Our Doctors of Physical Therapy are athletes themselves who combine manual therapy expertise with performance training. We treat the whole athlete—not just your hip—with 60-minute sessions, individualized programs, and a holistic approach that bridges the gap between rehab and performance. Plus, you'll have access to our community classes, recovery services, and digital mobility library.
