IS KNEE PAIN HOLDING YOU BACK FROM YOUR GOALS?
You've been dealing with knee discomfort for weeks—maybe months. You've tried rest, ice, and generic stretches from YouTube, but nothing seems to stick. The pain keeps coming back, and now you're wondering if you'll ever get back to running, training, or even walking without that nagging ache.

You're Worried This Is Permanent

We Don't Just Treat Your Knee—We Fix What's Causing the Pain
At MOTIVNY, we take a holistic approach to knee pain physical therapy in New York. That means we're not just looking at your knee. We're assessing your hip mobility, ankle stability, running gait, and movement patterns to identify the root cause. Our Doctors of Physical Therapy combine hands-on manual therapy, individualized strength training, and evidence-based techniques to get you back to doing what you love—stronger and more resilient than before.
- Root cause analysis that goes beyond the knee (hip, ankle, gait assessment)
- 60-minute one-on-one sessions with Board-Certified Physical Therapists
- Manual therapy techniques including Functional Range Release and joint mobilization
- Customized strength and mobility programs delivered to your phone
"I highly recommend MOTIV to any athlete. This is the only place I have found that looks at your issues in a holistic way. I came to MOTIV with knee pain that several other PTs had looked at before. Nothing seemed wrong yet the pain didn't go away. Luke quickly diagnosed this as coming from my hip and lack of range of motion there. I was able to run pain free in about 2 months."

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you accept insurance or offer a cash rate for knee pain treatment?
We're an out-of-network provider, which means you'll need out-of-network benefits to use insurance. The good news? We'll check your coverage for you and clearly outline your out-of-pocket costs before your first appointment. If you don't have out-of-network benefits, we accept HSA, FSA, and self-pay. Our max out-of-pocket rate is $225 per session ($275 for our founders).
Do I need a referral to start physical therapy for my knee pain?
Nope! Thanks to NY State Direct Access Law, you don't need a referral to start physical therapy with us. That said, some insurance plans may still require one, so we recommend checking with your provider if you're planning to use insurance.
What should I expect during my first visit for knee pain?
Your first session is a comprehensive 60-minute evaluation. We'll assess your knee, hip, ankle, and movement patterns to identify the root cause of your pain. You'll also get started with your personalized Home Exercise Program. Wear comfortable clothing that allows us to easily access your knee and surrounding areas.
